Avigdor’s Helping Hand, Inc. is:
- an all volunteer,
- non-profit organization
- with no overhead costs.
Avigdor’s Helping Hand, Inc. provides:
- Financial Assistance to Orphans Getting Married.
- Emergency Financial Assistance Following the Loss of a Primary Breadwinner
- In the days, weeks and months following the loss, Avigdor’s Helping Hand distributes cash stipends to be used to offset household expenses, including, amongst others:
- Food and Basic Necessities,
- Shelter (e.g. Housing Costs: rent, mortgage payments),
- Childcare, and
- Utility Bills
- In the days, weeks and months following the loss, Avigdor’s Helping Hand distributes cash stipends to be used to offset household expenses, including, amongst others:
- Non-Financial Assistance through a network of Volunteers, including:
- grief and bereavement counselors who provide their services to AHH families either on a volunteer basis or paid for by AHH,
- volunteers available to help the family in any way possible, including:
- assistance with household functions, and
- assisting with children’s school work
- coordinating with the myriad of community organizations that need to be involved with the families and provide for their needs on a long-term basis.
- Promote the need for Long Term Planning
- Educate the public on the importance of maintaining life insurance policies and other instruments that are vital to surviving family members.
